Species Description:

Plagiobothrys mollis var. vestitus, commonly known as Petaluma popcornflower, is a perennial herb in the Boraginaceae that is found only in California. It occurs within Marshes and swamps (coastal salt), and Valley and foothill grassland (mesic), growing at elevations from 10 to 50 meters. Plagiobothrys mollis var. vestitus is ranked 1A, Plants Presumed Extirpated in California and Either Rare or Extinct Elsewhere.
