Species Description:

Quercus pacifica, commonly known as island scrub oak, is a perennial evergreen shrub in the Fagaceae that is found only in California. It occurs within Chaparral, Cismontane woodland, and Closed-cone coniferous forest, growing at elevations from 0 to 430 meters. Quercus pacifica is ranked 4.2, Plants of Limited Distribution, A Watch List; Moderately threatened in California.
