Species Description:
Pleuropogon hooverianus, commonly known as North Coast semaphore grass, is a perennial rhizomatous herb in the Poaceae that is found only in California. It occurs within Broadleafed upland forest, Meadows and seeps, and North Coast coniferous forest, growing at elevations from 10 to 671 meters. Pleuropogon hooverianus is ranked 1B.1, Plants Rare, Threatened or Endangered in California and Elsewhere; Seriously threatened in California.|
