Species Description:

Veratrum insolitum, commonly known as Siskiyou false-hellebore, is a perennial herb in the Melanthiaceae that is found in California and elsewhere. It occurs within Chaparral, and Lower montane coniferous forest, growing at elevations from 45 to 1635 meters. Veratrum insolitum is ranked 4.3, Plants of Limited Distribution, A Watch List; Not very threatened in California.
