Carex sheldonii, commonly known as Sheldon's sedge, is a perennial rhizomatous herb in the Cyperaceae that is found in California and elsewhere. It occurs within Lower montane coniferous forest (mesic), Marshes and swamps (freshwater), and Riparian scrub, growing at elevations from 1200 to 2012 meters. Carex sheldonii is ranked 2B.2, Plants Rare, Threatened, or Endangered in California, But More Common Elsewhere; Moderately threatened in California.
