Potentilla newberryi, commonly known as Newberry's cinquefoil, is a perennial herb in the Rosaceae that is found in California and elsewhere. It occurs within Marshes and swamps (drying margins), and Vernal pools, growing at elevations from 1300 to 2200 meters. Potentilla newberryi is ranked 2B.3, Plants Rare, Threatened, or Endangered in California, But More Common Elsewhere; Not very threatened in California.
