Species Description:

Calochortus syntrophus, commonly known as Callahan's mariposa-lily, is a perennial bulbiferous herb in the Liliaceae that is found only in California. It occurs within Cismontane woodland, and Valley and foothill grassland (vernally mesic), growing at elevations from 525 to 1145 meters. Calochortus syntrophus is ranked 1B.1, Plants Rare, Threatened or Endangered in California and Elsewhere; Seriously threatened in California.
