Taxon Summary:

Triquetrella californica, commonly known as coastal triquetrella, is a moss in the Pottiaceae that is found in California and elsewhere. It occurs within Coastal bluff scrub, and Coastal scrub, growing at elevations from 10 to 100 meters. Triquetrella californica is ranked 1B.2, Plants Rare, Threatened or Endangered in California and Elsewhere; Moderately threatened in California.

Notes:
Known in CA from fewer than ten small coastal occurrences, and in in OR from only one occurrence. Threatened by urbanization. See Mem. Calif. Acad. 1:30 (1868) for original description, and Moss. Fl. N.A. 3:201 (1934) for revised nomenclature.
