Taxon Summary:

Herissantia crispa, commonly known as curly herissantia, is a annual/perennial herb in the Malvaceae that is found in California and elsewhere. It occurs within Sonoran desert scrub, growing at elevations from 700 to 725 meters. Herissantia crispa is ranked 2B.3, Plants Rare, Threatened, or Endangered in California, But More Common Elsewhere; Not very threatened in California.

Notes:
Known in CA from only two occurrences at Mountain Springs Grade and Vallecito Wash.
