Species Description:
Selaginella cinerascens, commonly known as ashy spike-moss, is a perennial rhizomatous herb in the Selaginellaceae that is found in California and elsewhere. It occurs within Chaparral, and Coastal scrub, growing at elevations from 20 to 640 meters. Selaginella cinerascens is ranked 4.1, Plants of Limited Distribution, A Watch List; Seriously threatened in California.
