It occurs within Meadows and seeps (granitic, and gravelly margins), growing at elevations from 2400 to 2700 meters. Known from only Ramshaw Meadows and Templeton Meadows. Possibly threatened by trampling and potentially threatened by meadow succession. Previously a candidate for federal listing.
