Species Description:
Sagittaria sanfordii, commonly known as Sanford's arrowhead, is a perennial rhizomatous herb (emergent) in the Alismataceae that is found only in California. It occurs within Marshes and swamps, growing at elevations from 0 to 650 meters. Sagittaria sanfordii is ranked 1B.2, Plants Rare, Threatened or Endangered in California and Elsewhere; Moderately threatened in California.
