Notes: Previously CRPR 1A (as Mimulus whipplei); M. whipplei was known only from the type collection, which was examined and attributed to E. marmorata by G. Nesom in 2012. See Erythea 3(5): 73 (1895) for original description, Phytoneuron 2012-39: 1-60 (2012) for revised nomenclature, Phytoneuron 40: 1-123 (2012) for taxonomic treatment, and Phytoneuron 2013-67: 1-15 (2013) for new distribution records.
