It occurs within Great Basin scrub (vernally mesic), and Meadows and seeps (vernally mesic), growing at elevations from 1560 to 1650 meters. Astragalus agrestis is ranked 2B.2, Plants Rare, Threatened, or Endangered in California, But More Common Elsewhere; Moderately threatened in California.|
