Species Description:

Eryngium jepsonii, commonly known as Jepson's coyote-thistle, is a perennial herb in the Apiaceae that is found only in California. It occurs within Valley and foothill grassland, and Vernal pools, growing at elevations from 3 to 300 meters. Eryngium jepsonii is ranked 1B.2, Plants Rare, Threatened or Endangered in California and Elsewhere; Moderately threatened in California.
