Species Description:
Berberis nevinii, commonly known as Nevin's barberry, is a perennial evergreen shrub in the Berberidaceae that is found only in California. It occurs within Chaparral, Cismontane woodland, Coastal scrub, and Riparian scrub, growing at elevations from 70 to 825 meters. Berberis nevinii is ranked 1B.1, Plants Rare, Threatened or Endangered in California and Elsewhere; Seriously threatened in California.
