Species Description:

Cryptantha dissita, commonly known as serpentine cryptantha, is a annual herb in the Boraginaceae that is found only in California. It occurs within Chaparral, growing at elevations from 395 to 580 meters. Cryptantha dissita is ranked 1B.2, Plants Rare, Threatened or Endangered in California and Elsewhere; Moderately threatened in California.
