Species Description:

Carex viridula ssp. viridula, commonly known as green yellow sedge, is a perennial herb in the Cyperaceae that is found in California and elsewhere. It occurs within Bogs and fens, Marshes and swamps (freshwater), and North Coast coniferous forest (mesic), growing at elevations from 0 to 1600 meters. Carex viridula ssp. viridula is ranked 2B.3, Plants Rare, Threatened, or Endangered in California, But More Common Elsewhere; Not very threatened in California.
