Species Description:
Eremogone ursina, commonly known as Big Bear Valley sandwort, is a perennial herb in the Caryophyllaceae that is found only in California. It occurs within Meadows and seeps, Pebble (Pavement) plain, and Pinyon and juniper woodland, growing at elevations from 1800 to 2900 meters. Eremogone ursina is ranked 1B.2, Plants Rare, Threatened or Endangered in California and Elsewhere; Moderately threatened in California.
