Stenotus lanuginosus var. lanuginosus, commonly known as woolly stenotus, is a perennial herb in the Asteraceae that is found in California and elsewhere. It occurs within Great Basin scrub, Meadows and seeps, and Pinyon and juniper woodland, growing at elevations from 1500 to 1930 meters. Stenotus lanuginosus var. lanuginosus is ranked 2B.2, Plants Rare, Threatened, or Endangered in California, But More Common Elsewhere; Moderately threatened in California.
