Stipa diegoensis, commonly known as San Diego County needle grass, is a perennial herb in the Poaceae that is found in California and elsewhere. It occurs within Chaparral, and Coastal scrub, growing at elevations from 10 to 800 meters. Stipa diegoensis is ranked 4.2, Plants of Limited Distribution, A Watch List; Moderately threatened in California.
