Taxon Summary:

Trifolium palmeri, commonly known as southern island clover, is a annual herb in the Fabaceae that is found in California and elsewhere. It occurs within Coastal bluff scrub, and Valley and foothill grassland, growing at elevations from 10 to 180 meters. Trifolium palmeri is ranked 4.2, Plants of Limited Distribution, A Watch List; Moderately threatened in California.

Notes:
Rediscovered on SCT and SNI islands in 1978. Known on ANA Isl. from one small occurrence discovered in 1996. See Proceedings of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences 11:105-148 (1876) for original description.
