Species Description:

Clarkia franciscana, commonly known as Presidio clarkia, is a annual herb in the Onagraceae that is found only in California. It occurs within Coastal scrub, and Valley and foothill grassland (serpentinite), growing at elevations from 25 to 335 meters. Clarkia franciscana is ranked 1B.1, Plants Rare, Threatened or Endangered in California and Elsewhere; Seriously threatened in California.
