Penstemon thompsoniae, commonly known as Thompson's beardtongue, is a perennial herb in the Plantaginaceae that is found in California and elsewhere. It occurs within Pinyon and juniper woodland (gravelly, and carbonate), growing at elevations from 1500 to 2700 meters. Penstemon thompsoniae is ranked 2B.3, Plants Rare, Threatened, or Endangered in California, But More Common Elsewhere; Not very threatened in California.
