Species Description:

Extriplex joaquinana, commonly known as San Joaquin spearscale, is a annual herb in the Chenopodiaceae that is found only in California. It occurs within Chenopod scrub, Meadows and seeps, Playas, and Valley and foothill grassland, growing at elevations from 1 to 835 meters. Extriplex joaquinana is ranked 1B.2, Plants Rare, Threatened or Endangered in California and Elsewhere; Moderately threatened in California.
