Astragalus magdalenae var. peirsonii, commonly known as Peirson's milk-vetch, is a perennial herb in the Fabaceae that is found in California and elsewhere. It occurs within Desert dunes, growing at elevations from 60 to 225 meters. Astragalus magdalenae var. peirsonii is ranked 1B.2, Plants Rare, Threatened or Endangered in California and Elsewhere; Moderately threatened in California.

One location in Anza-Borrego does not appear to be a naturally occurring population; DNA analysis pending. Plant not seen in SDG Co. in several decades. Threatened by vehicles in the Algodones Dunes. Threatened elsewhere by vehicles, grazing and trampling, foot traffic, non-native plants, development, and hydrological alterations.
