Species Description:
Puccinellia simplex, commonly known as California alkali grass, is a annual herb in the Poaceae that is found in California and elsewhere. It occurs within Chenopod scrub, Meadows and seeps, Valley and foothill grassland, and Vernal pools, growing at elevations from 2 to 930 meters. Puccinellia simplex is ranked 1B.2, Plants Rare, Threatened or Endangered in California and Elsewhere; Moderately threatened in California.|
