Taxon Summary:

Argyrochosma limitanea ssp. limitanea, commonly known as southwestern false cloak-fern, is a perennial rhizomatous herb in the Pteridaceae that is found in California and elsewhere. It occurs within Pinyon and juniper woodland (carbonate, and rocky), growing at elevations from 1800 to 1800 meters. Argyrochosma limitanea ssp. limitanea is ranked 2B.1, Plants Rare, Threatened, or Endangered in California, But More Common Elsewhere; Seriously threatened in California.
