Known from only two occurrences in the La Panza Range.
Threats:

Threatened by grazing, habitat fragmentation, habitat conversion, non-native plants, road maintenance, and vehicles. A portion of one occurrence has been fenced by CNPS and USFS, but vehicle trespass still occurs.
