Species Description:

Monotropa uniflora, commonly known as ghost-pipe, is a perennial herb (achlorophyllous) in the Ericaceae that is found in California and elsewhere. It occurs within Broadleafed upland forest, and North Coast coniferous forest, growing at elevations from 10 to 550 meters. Monotropa uniflora is ranked 2B.2, Plants Rare, Threatened, or Endangered in California, But More Common Elsewhere; Moderately threatened in California.
