Synthyris missurica ssp. missurica, commonly known as kitten-tails, is a perennial rhizomatous herb in the Plantaginaceae that is found in California and elsewhere. It occurs within Lower montane coniferous forest, Subalpine coniferous forest, and Upper montane coniferous forest, growing at elevations from 2000 to 2560 meters. Synthyris missurica ssp. missurica is ranked 2B.3, Plants Rare, Threatened, or Endangered in California, But More Common Elsewhere; Not very threatened in California.
