Species Description:

Eriophorum gracile, commonly known as slender cottongrass, is a perennial rhizomatous herb (emergent) in the Cyperaceae that is found in California and elsewhere. It occurs within Bogs and fens, Meadows and seeps, and Upper montane coniferous forest, growing at elevations from 1280 to 2900 meters. Eriophorum gracile is ranked 4.3, Plants of Limited Distribution, A Watch List; Not very threatened in California.
