Species Description:

Ribes tularense, commonly known as Sequoia gooseberry, is a perennial deciduous shrub in the Grossulariaceae that is found only in California. It occurs within Lower montane coniferous forest, and Upper montane coniferous forest, growing at elevations from 1500 to 2075 meters. Ribes tularense is ranked 1B.3, Plants Rare, Threatened or Endangered in California and Elsewhere; Not very threatened in California.
