Species Description:

Atriplex pacifica, commonly known as south coast saltscale, is a annual herb in the Chenopodiaceae that is found in California and elsewhere. It occurs within Coastal bluff scrub, Coastal dunes, Coastal scrub, and Playas, growing at elevations from 0 to 140 meters. Atriplex pacifica is ranked 1B.2, Plants Rare, Threatened or Endangered in California and Elsewhere; Moderately threatened in California.

Threats:

Greatly reduced by urbanization on mainland.
