Ribes sericeum, commonly known as Santa Lucia gooseberry, is a perennial deciduous shrub in the Grossulariaceae that is found only in California. It occurs within Broadleafed upland forest, Cismontane woodland, Coastal bluff scrub, and North Coast coniferous forest, growing at elevations from 305 to 1220 meters. Ribes sericeum is ranked 4.3, Plants of Limited Distribution, A Watch List; Not very threatened in California.
