It occurs within Alpine boulder and rock field, Meadows and seeps, and Valley and foothill grassland (mesic), growing at elevations from 2895 to 3610 meters. Taraxacum ceratophorum is ranked 2B.1, Plants Rare, Threatened, or Endangered in California, But More Common Elsewhere; Seriously threatened in California.|
