Species Description:

Claytonia umbellata, commonly known as Great Basin claytonia, is a perennial herb in the Montiaceae that is found in California and elsewhere. It occurs within Subalpine coniferous forest, growing at elevations from 1705 to 3500 meters. Claytonia umbellata is ranked 2B.1, Plants Rare, Threatened, or Endangered in California, But More Common Elsewhere; Seriously threatened in California.
