Species Description:

Stylocline masonii, commonly known as Mason's neststraw, is a annual herb in the Asteraceae that is found only in California. It occurs within Chenopod scrub, and Pinyon and juniper woodland, growing at elevations from 100 to 1200 meters. Stylocline masonii is ranked 1B.1, Plants Rare, Threatened or Endangered in California and Elsewhere; Seriously threatened in California.
