Taxon Summary:

Viola langsdorffii, commonly known as Langsdorf's violet, is a perennial herb in the Violaceae that is found in California and elsewhere. It occurs within Bogs and fens, growing at elevations from 2 to 10 meters. Viola langsdorffii is ranked 2B.1, Plants Rare, Threatened, or Endangered in California, But More Common Elsewhere; Seriously threatened in California.

Notes:
Known in CA only from Lake Earl and Pt. St. George. Status in OR needs clarification. Threatened by development. Not in TJM (1993). See Madroño 40(2):135 (1993) for first CA record.
