Species Description:
Pediomelum castoreum, commonly known as Beaver Dam breadroot, is a perennial herb in the Fabaceae that is found in California and elsewhere. It occurs within Joshua tree "woodland", and Mojavean desert scrub, growing at elevations from 610 to 1525 meters. Pediomelum castoreum is ranked 1B.2, Plants Rare, Threatened or Endangered in California and Elsewhere; Moderately threatened in California.
