Physocarpus alternans, commonly known as Nevada ninebark, is a perennial deciduous shrub in the Rosaceae that is found in California and elsewhere. It occurs within Pinyon and juniper woodland (carbonate, and rocky), growing at elevations from 1800 to 3100 meters.
