Species Description:

Dimeresia howellii, commonly known as doublet, is a annual herb in the Asteraceae that is found in California and elsewhere. It occurs within Lower montane coniferous forest, and Pinyon and juniper woodland, growing at elevations from 1340 to 2380 meters. Dimeresia howellii is ranked 2B.3, Plants Rare, Threatened, or Endangered in California, But More Common Elsewhere; Not very threatened in California.
