Species Description:

Agrostis hooveri, commonly known as Hoover's bent grass, is a perennial herb in the Poaceae that is found only in California. It occurs within Chaparral, Cismontane woodland, Closed-cone coniferous forest, and Valley and foothill grassland, growing at elevations from 6 to 610 meters. Agrostis hooveri is ranked 1B.2, Plants Rare, Threatened or Endangered in California and Elsewhere; Moderately threatened in California.
