Species Description:
Arctostaphylos hooveri, commonly known as Hoover's manzanita, is a perennial evergreen shrub in the Ericaceae that is found only in California. It occurs within Broadleafed upland forest, Chaparral (rocky), Cismontane woodland, and Lower montane coniferous forest, growing at elevations from 480 to 1035 meters.
